When I first meet with my couples, I ask a variety of questions: What do you do? How did you meet? How did the proposal happen? etc. Recently, I started asking: What was your first date? and What do you remember most from your wedding day? I usually ask just the bride but Andrea came back with answers from both of them, I thought ‘now this is a good way to journal my couples love stories’. I LOVE the Daisy Jones + The Six interview vibe this has (just finishing the book & series on Prime might have helped..ha!).
Their love story, described by themselves 🙂 Enjoy!!
A: We met through mutual friends in Athens, OH 2/18/2016, at Lucky’s on Court Street. Ethan went to school there and I was there celebrating a birthday with a friend. Our mutual friend Adam told me to come to Lucky’s to see him so I did and that’s when I met Ethan, in the corner booth controlling the music per usual. I had no interest and I laughed off his advances. We reconnected in April and I finally gave in and went on a date with him. Lol I didn’t make it easy.
E: We met at a bar in Athens Ohio called Lucky’s. Where our mutual friend Adam “Spank” Lankford introduced us in the corner booth next to the TouchTunes playing one of my strange music choices
A: Our first date was to my favorite local restaurant called Tokyo, followed by sonic for slushees, and we ended the night at Ft. Boreman. It is one of the more scenic areas in our home town. You can see the River and WV and OH bordering it.
E: We went out to her favorite restaurant back home called Tokyo (I hate this place with a passion but I went because it’s her favorite) then after we went to sonic for slushies and went to Fort Boreman
A: Ethan proposed at Ft. Boreman 5/2021 right before his cousin Alyssa’s high school graduation. If he didn’t do it at Ft. Boreman she was going to include in her HS graduation speech and he would have proposed there in the stadium. Lol it was just him and I. I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
E: I proposed to Andrea at Fort Boreman the same place we ended our first date in May which is our month for our dating, engagement, and marriage anniversaries.
A: What I remember the most from our wedding day is everyone gathering right before our first look behind the sliding glass door. How excited everyone was to watch that special moment between Ethan and I. The whispers, giggles, and the butterflies. Though the previous day had been hard on everyone for many reasons the amount of love everyone had just overflowed. No one knew a stranger even if they haven’t met. I also vividly remember and lol when our moms did the unity candle and they “forgot” to let us light the single candles into the one. I just find irony in it because we are their babies through and through. I guess that’s their way of saying you may be getting married but you’re still my baby. gotta find humor in the small things.
E: My favorite part of the wedding day is being able to enjoy time with the friends and family celebrating our last 7 years of our relationship especially with the people that helped us get here.

"Ashley is amazing. We could not have asked for a more personable, professional, kind, hardworking, and fun photographer. We loved every part of the process of working with Ashely—from the meetings to the big day. Her work is phenomenal. She knows how to get the best photos while working well with the clients. I can not recommend Ashely enough. We plan to continue to use her for future photo sessions. "
" I dearly love every one of my couples, and I feel so grateful when they love me back!"

"I don’t even know where to begin with Ashley. She was more than a photographer for me on my wedding day. She was a coordinator, a real life anxiety cure, a hair dresser during pictures & the reception, company that I truly enjoyed for the day, and of course, a wonderful photographer as well. She was with us throughout the whole day with no rush to hurry through anything & always making sure we were okay and getting the pictures we wanted. Joe & I truly do not know what we would’ve done without her on our big day. If you’re getting married, you absolutely have to hire her."
"Company that I truly enjoyed for the day."

"We cannot say enough wonderful things about Ashley and all she did for us for our big day as well as the days that led up to it. She is timely, organized, and goes above and beyond for her couples. She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and was so efficient throughout the entire day. Ashley is professional while still making her couples feel like friends! We got a 10 photo preview on our WEDDING NIGHT- that was so incredible to have so soon. Thank you, Ashley! The day was perfect with you behind the lens!"
