AR: How did you two meet?
S: We met at Ohio State our freshman year. Ohio State had actually lost their game that night, but Peter and I both decided to still go out to a party and met there.
P: We met at a party after Ohio State lost to Michigan State our freshman year, Fall 2015.
AR: What was your first date?
S: We spent the day in German Village. We started by getting lunch at Schmidt’s and then spent the rest of the day exploring the area. Our favorite spot was the Book Loft!
P: Our first date wasn’t until that spring and was in German Village. We ate lunch at Schmidt’s and spent basically the whole day together exploring German Village and looking in shops. We definitely lost track of time in the Book Loft.
AR: How did your proposal happen?
S: Peter took me to Mirror Lake at Ohio State to propose. He had some of my best friends there to photograph the moment 🙂
P: The dates lined up perfectly for me to design, order, and pick up the ring at a local jeweler in Cincinnati without Shannon knowing. I proposed at Mirror Lake on OSU’s campus. I had asked some of her closest friends to hide while I brought her there, so that they could take pictures of the proposal.
AR: What do you remember most from your wedding day?
S: Dancing with all of our family and friends all night long!
P: What I remember most is being surrounded by our family and friends who had come to celebrate us, and of course being on the dance floor with my wife!

She was a coordinator, a real life anxiety cure, a hair dresser during pictures & the reception, company that I truly enjoyed for the day, and of course, a wonderful photographer as well. She was with us throughout the whole day with no rush to hurry through anything & always making sure we were okay and getting the pictures we wanted. Joe & I truly do not know what we would’ve done without her on our big day. If you’re getting married, you absolutely have to hire her."
