AR: How did you two meet?
Sam: We met through a dating app. He had a picture of him and his family at a cardinals baseball game and I remember liking that he was close with his family! When we first start talking he also bought the book I was reading at the time so we could talk about it.
Daniel: On a dating app. I had to message her twice about a month apart before she responded.
AR: What was your first date?
S: . We went to dinner at the beer barrel. Our first date was the day after Valentine’s Day so wanted to pick a pretty casual place. I remember having so much in common and the conversation being effortless.
D: Beer barrel. I always tried to get to first dates early to be the first one there but Sam beat me to it. Was a great date and I asked her on another one.
AR: How did your proposal happen?
S: We took a trip to Alaska last year and on our first full day there we took a private plane on a sightseeing tour of the kenai fjords national park. Part of the tour included stopping on top of a glacier in the park and Dan proposed there. It was magical!
D: We had planned a trip to Alaska, so I decided to propose on top of a glacier.
AR: What do you remember most from your wedding day?
S: So many great moments to choose from! One thing that stuck out was my maid of honor collected letters from my closest friends and family and put them in a scrapbook for me. She gave it to me the morning of the wedding as I was getting ready and reading through everyone’s letters made me feel so loved! The last letter was from Daniel and it reconfirmed how much he loves me and how excited we both were. It set such a great tone for the day and will be a great keepsake to reread in the future.
D: Our first look at each other. We had barely seen each other all day so I was extremely excited to see her.
